With the new National Western Center, education will become a year-round focus. Some of it will come through more shows and events happening throughout the year. The new Equine Center and Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic will attract significant horse shows and provide homes for diverse educational opportunities.
Partnerships will play a big role here. Colorado State University’s leadership of the Equine Center as well as the Water Resource Center will open doors to consistent education and outreach opportunities. Denver Museum of Nature and Science and History Colorado, both partners on the new National Western Center, share the National Western’s focus on education, and will also develop broad slates of programming to further the new Center’s educational mission.
Ultimately, the aim is to provide a lasting forum where the cross-pollination of the best ideas from the rural and urban West inform broadened perspectives and innovative solutions to benefit us all.
