As a reminder, we have put in place a few ground rules, as well as a brief form for all donors to sign agreeing to the guidelines below.
1. Donors won’t be able to specify exactly where their donation will go in The Legacy. But as I mentioned, we’re looking for items to help decorate our themed bars, so chances are high if you donate a brand, it’ll end up being part of the Brand Bar!
2. Because of the number of items we’re looking for, donors won’t be able to be recognized individually.
3. If we can’t immediately use your item, it will go into the National Western Archives and forever become part of our history!
4. If, for some reason, a donation is not able to be used or placed in the Archives, we will ask donors to allow us to deaccession the item, and, if appropriate, sell the item, with all proceeds going to the National Western’s educational programming.
5. If you have a question about your item, you can always email a photo to the Campaign at campaign@nationalwestern.com, and we will let you know if we can use it before you take the time to bring it in!
6. Gifts to the National Western Stock Show are tax deductible as charitable contributions, to the extent permitted by law.
Where and How to Donate:
For those joining us at the WSSA Annual Meeting of the Members on May 22, you can bring items at that time. We will have a designated donation table with volunteers to assist in collecting items!
Otherwise, you can drop your items off at the Campaign office anytime, but please call first to make arrangements. You can reach the office at 303-299-8644.
THANK YOU all in advance for helping make The Legacy so special!
