FAQ
Raising $100 million is an ambitious undertaking, especially for an organization that doesn’t have a strong philanthropic history. We want everyone to be a part of this transformative project. You can email us at campaign@nationalwestern.com or give us a call at 303-919-5214. We accept gifts of cash, securities, property, real estate and other in-kind support.
Individuals, corporations and foundations can make pledges over a 5-year period.
You will make your gift directly to the Western Stock Show Association (WSSA), a 501 c(3) organization that oversees the National Western Stock Show. Your gift to the capital campaign will go towards our anchor buildings and programs.
National Western is focusing on four major areas and buildings: the Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center, the Cille and Ron Williams Yards, the Equestrian Center, and the Legacy Building.
The City and County of Denver, the Western Stock Show Association, Colorado State University, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and History Colorado are major partners; the Regional Transportation District and the local neighborhoods are also playing key roles.
The National Western Center will be approximately 250 acres once fully built out – roughly two-and-a-half times the size of today’s Complex. It is anticipated that the National Western Stock Show will grow to more than 750,000 visitors every January.
The work is well underway. The goal is to have the Cille and Ron Williams Yards completed by 2021, the Equestrian Center completed by 2022, and the Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center and the Legacy Building completed by 2023.
