George Eidsness is president of Transwest, Inc, a company with dealerships specializing in service, sales and parts for the heavy-duty truck, trailer, automotive and recreational vehicle industries. Transwest has operations in Colorado, five Midwestern states and Canada. He also serves as chairman of Translease, Inc., which provides financing of transportation equipment throughout the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, he has ownership interests in multiple manufacturing companies of transportation related equipment.
George and his wife Barbara are native North Dakotans who moved to Colorado in 1990 and purchased Transwest. They currently reside on the Flying E Ranch, a horse and hay operation near rural Fort Lupton. They are proud parents to two grown children and have five grandchildren. George graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Administration. He has continued to apply his education to building and maintaining a successful business. He has applied his passion for business and supporting our youth as a long-time, major sponsor of the National Western Stock Show, NWSS Junior Livestock Sale, Citizens of the West and the Coors Art Show.
George and Barbara enjoy supporting the youth who are engaged in 4-H and FFA programs in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming.
He demonstrates his dedication to community involvement and support of the Western way of life by focusing his efforts and time on several causes.
