FOUR MAJOR NEW FACILITIES
The Honoring the Legacy Campaign focuses on supporting four facilities to replace aging National Western Complex infrastructure hosting the National Western Stock Show: the Cille and Ron Williams Yards, the Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center, The Legacy, and the Equestrian Center.
The Cille and Ron Williams Yards and their centerpiece HW Hutchison Family Stockyards Event Center opened to the public before the 2022 Stock Show. The Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center and The Legacy – the National Western’s new world headquarters and much more – are under construction. Plans for the Equestrian Center are moving ahead quickly.
These new facilities are already improving the Stock Show experience for visitors, participants, and commercial partners, and we’re just getting started. When complete, these buildings will provide thoroughly modern space for the Stock Show’s growth as well as for a wider array of events throughout the year.
More broadly, these four facilities are cornerstones of the National Western Center, one of America’s most ambitious urban renewal projects. It’s a multiphase effort involving an array of road and rail infrastructure improvements, a revitalization of the South Platte River, and the establishment of The Spur, Colorado State University’s new academic center, which is now complete.
